Iwase tells him he must stop this path while Miyoshi says she will be his cheerleader. He then tells them that they are going to Yakusa North High at which point Iwase leaves with tears in her eyes saying he is going to regret this for the rest of his life. He then explains to Miyoshi why he asked her about Mizuki saying that she and Mashiro are going out. She gets angry and punches him three times. |

| + | They go to see Hattori who invites them upstairs after forgetting his scoring sheet. As they look at the editor department Mashiro sees someone he recognizes from his uncle's funeral. After waiting for Hattori to finish smoking he discusses the scoring explaining that editors look for what will work well in jump while mangaka look for originality. He then explains that if it wasn't for Niizima getting first and second place they would have gotten an honorable mention. They learn that he has earned 4 million yen and is about to get serialized. Mashiro asks if they can get serialized to which Hattori explains that they need at least three chapters in manuscript. The editor-in-chief shows up and tells them it just has to be interesting to get serialized. |

Regret and Understanding (後悔と納得Kōkai to Nattoku) is the name of the eleventh chapter of the Bakuman Manga. It was published in Weekly Shōnen Jump on October 27, 2008.
Summary
