He then tells them it is true that Niizuma gets serialized and that the difference between them is love for manga. But that his weakness is his youth since he is all energy and no depth which is the exact opposite of them and Hattori realizes they do have depth maybe even a bit too much. He then tells them to only bring him names and work on getting a good hero. Hattori asks why he brought up Taro and the editor-in-chief explains that Mashiro is his nephew.

As Mashiro enters the studio on saturday he is surprised to find Miyoshi there for which Takagi apologizes. She then tells him she heard all about his and Miho's arrangement and proceeds to call her and asks her to come over she tells her no. Takagi tells her it is none of her business and she gets mad several times at Takagi's answers. Mashiro then tells her not to tell Miho about this place, he then states that Miyoshi can come to the studio in the weekend but not during the week. Miyoshi agrees and tells them that Miho is moving.

They return to Hattori with six names and six characters which he states are all boring since they are to ordinary. He then explains to them that they rank stuff by the questionnaires and that you only need 2 out of 10 people to choose your manga for it to be considered popular. He then ask if they disregarded some names thinking it wouldn't be good for jump. Takagi tells him some of the stories he disregarded and Hattori tells them to go with the second story and that they must gamble on getting a cult status.

10 and 2 (10と2 Jū to Ni) is the name of the twelfth chapter of the Bakuman Manga. It was published in Weekly Shōnen Jump on November 1, 2008.

Summary
