Mashiro's known family consists of his mother, father, grandfather and deceased manga-ka (manga artist) uncle, Nobuhiro Mashiro. His dad is alive but is never seen, his mom is seen throughout the story (e.g. in the hospital) and his grandpa gives him the keys to his uncle's studio.
