Bakuman-Chap85Pg02-03 — The first pages of the first draft

PCP (Perfect Crime Party) is Ashirogi Muto's third manga serializing in Weekly Shōnen Jump. It was later adapted into drama cd and novelization. However, it is unlikely to be adapted into anime due to the ease of which readers, which arr often children, can copy the actions performed in the manga e.g. the "crimes" the characters commit.

Bakuman Series

Before using the name Perfect Crime Party the manga was named Perfect Crime Club, but they felt it needed to change because there already was a movie with the same name. This manga is their last chance in Weekly Shōnen Jump, the condition they got for getting published was to beat Niizuma Eiji. When the voting for the manga begun the editor in chief, Sasaki, proposed that they should vote if the manga would be able to win or lose. The vote resulted in 4 no's and 3 yes but everyone thought they should give Ashirogi Muto a chance so they all changed their votes to a yes. The manga was first published in Weekly Shonen Jump in Page 91.

Plot

Perfect Crime Party is about three children who form a Perfect Crime Club, performing seamless acts of crime. Their crimes are simple as putting a dirty tray in the desk of a boy that already took away his tray in the beginning of the series and swiching seemingly identical items. The plot follows the groups efforts to commit perfect crimes within thier school.

Characters

There are three main characters:

Makoto Doumoto, the main character, who looks like a normal kid with long bangs, but when in Perfect Crime mode he has his hair behind his ears and wears glasses. He also has a special cellphone strap that has tools which he uses.

Minoru Takunaga, who after seeing Doumoto perform a crime proposes that the two of them start the Pefect Crime Club.

Mai Annojyou, the last addition to the Perfect Crime Club, the only female member. This character is modeled after Miho Azkuki.

Akechi, PCP's antagonist and their rival. A smart new student with good deductive skills who announces he will figure out their identities. He is defeated in the end by their perfect crime. He bears a physical resemblance to JUMP's head editor, Sasaki.

Trivia

The main characters names put together mean "Morals" and "Truth" in Japanese.
The first chapter recieved 422 votes, putting it first in the final results on the reader questionnare
It once defeated +Natural for the first time.
