Shueisha Building (Anime)

Shueisha, Inc. (株式会社集英社, Kabushiki Kaisha Shūeisha, lit. "Shueisha Publishing Co., Ltd.") is a major publisher in Japan. The company was founded in 1925 as the entertainment-related publishing division of Japanese publisher Shogakukan. The following year Shueisha became a separate, independent company. Magazines published by Shueisha include Weekly Shōnen Jump, Weekly Young Jump, Non-no, and Ultra Jump. Shueisha, along with Shogakukan and Hakusensha, own Viz Media, which publishes manga from both companies in the United States. It is headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo.

In the Anime, the industry is renamed Yueisha. Several editors in the Bakuman plotline share names and projects with their real-life counterparts.
