Yo! I'm back with yet another chapter. I'm not really feeling well today and I really don't feel like writing a blog about this chapter, but I guess I have to...
On to the chapter! I kinda liked it. Like I said above, in my current state I don't feel like going too much into it, but yeah. Absolutely no humor (except Hattori's epic face) in this and the last chapters, I really crave some humor right now in Bakuman, like in the old days. I really, really thought Nanamine's comparison with a film director was handy, it made his explanation a lot easier. Ashirogi Muto being the dogs of the Jump editors was a little too much… I mean, we have seen what an amazing editor Hattori is and without him, Ashirogi wouldn't have come as far as they are no…Read more >
Bam!! After a two week wait, finally another chapter of Bakuman. And what a chapter it was.
The fact that Panty Flash Fight and that other one got 1st and 2nd place was actually pretty predictable. But then Nanamine called Shujin... HUH? I totally didn't expect that!! Who could've known that Nanamine, thàt Nanamine, will put himself in the open like that. He says something about repenting for his actions, that's bullshit. Forgive my language, but it's bullshit. Nanamine don't repent, Nanamine don't feel soory, Nanamine don't care! Anyway, he wants to show Ashirogi something.
And then we get a Nanamine flashback. Hooray! Finally, we get to see how he became so twisted. It all began in his childhood, when he read Money and Intelligence from As…Read more >
God dammit Nanamine! You never learn do you?! I'm kinda dissappointed to see him back, it feels like they're recycling the same antagonist (get it? recycling?). It would have been much more refreshing if we got to see another antagonist. It's entirely the same like last time, but now he doesn't put himself in the open and he gathers his slaves in person. And then he hires some ugly manager with a bad haircut... I don't like him. Nothing really happened in this chapter, only the revelation what everyone was thinking: one mastermind writer behind all the veteran artists. I didn't expect it to be so big however, I kinda pictured it that the writer would have a shabby, dark office and that he would be like a dealer, selling stories for a perce…Read more >
The recent chapters were very interesting, so I thought it's more than worth it to write a short blog about.
Recently, a lot of old authors with regular drawing skills have appeared, but all with the same appealing story. I mean, it's pretty obvious that there is some genius writer behind the scenes. he's the one that first Azuma-sensei was going to and now Arai-sensei and all the others. My first thought would be that it's Nanamine, but that would be too fast, he just disappeared, for him to re-appear now would be too useless. Eiji is certainly out of the question, since he wouldn't even think about doing something like that. It's just... weird. I'm thinking of something like a secret cult where you get a storyboard from the genius writer,…Read more >
